DeMain Labs (“DeMain,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly, transparently, and securely.
This Privacy Policy explains how DeMain collects, accesses, uses, stores, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use DeMain, visit demainlabs.com, connect a third-party account such as Google Calendar, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Privacy at a Glance
DeMain is designed to help users organize information, understand their schedules, remember important information, manage projects and tasks, and receive useful intelligence based on information they choose to provide or connect.
Our core privacy principles are:
- We collect information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve DeMain.
- Connecting a third-party service such as Google Calendar is optional.
- We request only permissions reasonably necessary to provide the connected feature.
- Google Calendar access is intended to be read-only unless DeMain clearly discloses and obtains authorization for additional functionality in the future.
- We do not sell Google user data.
- We do not use Google user data for targeted or personalized advertising.
- We do not use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
- We do not use Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending decisions.
- Users may disconnect a connected Google account to stop future synchronization.
- Users may request deletion of their DeMain account and associated personal information, subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup exceptions.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use DeMain, we may collect the following categories of information.
2.1 Account and Profile Information
When you create or use a DeMain account, we may collect:
- name;
- email address;
- account identifier;
- authentication information;
- profile preferences;
- time zone;
- date and time format preferences;
- language or localization preferences;
- integration settings; and
- other information reasonably necessary to maintain your account.
DeMain does not receive or store your Google password through Google’s OAuth authorization process.
2.2 Information You Provide to DeMain
DeMain may process information you voluntarily enter, create, save, or submit through the Services, including:
- captures;
- notes;
- memories;
- projects;
- tasks;
- reminders;
- notifications;
- preferences;
- questions submitted to DeMain’s in-app assistant features;
- feedback;
- support communications; and
- other content you choose to provide.
You control the information you choose to submit to DeMain.
Please avoid submitting personal information concerning another person unless you have the right or authorization to do so.
3. Google Account and Google Calendar Data
3.1 Connecting Google Is Optional
DeMain may allow you to connect one or more Google accounts.
Connecting Google is optional. DeMain requests access only after you initiate the connection and Google presents its authorization process.
You may decline authorization and continue using portions of DeMain that do not require Google Calendar.
3.2 Google Data DeMain May Access
When you authorize Google Calendar access, DeMain may receive or process information made available through the Google Calendar API that is reasonably necessary to provide calendar-related functionality.
Depending on the information contained in your calendars and the permissions you authorize, this may include:
- Google account identifiers;
- email address associated with the connected account;
- calendar names;
- calendar identifiers;
- calendar metadata;
- event titles;
- event dates and times;
- event duration;
- all-day event status;
- recurrence information;
- event descriptions;
- event locations;
- organizer information;
- attendee information;
- event status;
- time-zone information; and
- other event or calendar metadata returned by the Google Calendar API that is reasonably necessary to provide the requested functionality.
DeMain accesses Google Calendar information only within the permissions authorized by the user and permitted by Google.
3.3 How DeMain Uses Google Calendar Data
DeMain uses authorized Google Calendar information to provide and support user-facing functionality.
This may include:
- displaying upcoming events;
- combining selected calendars into a unified schedule;
- identifying schedule conflicts or timing considerations;
- generating schedule-related reminders;
- generating schedule summaries or daily briefs;
- identifying upcoming commitments;
- providing relevant context to DeMain’s user-facing intelligence features;
- answering user-initiated questions concerning their schedule;
- synchronizing authorized calendars;
- diagnosing synchronization problems; and
- maintaining the security and functionality of the integration.
DeMain does not use Google Calendar data for materially unrelated purposes.
3.4 How DeMain Processes Google Calendar Data
DeMain’s current features that use Google Calendar data — including schedule summaries, daily briefs, conflict detection, tomorrow prep, and answers to user-initiated questions about the user’s schedule — are implemented as deterministic, rules-based processing that runs inside DeMain’s own infrastructure. These features do not transmit Google Calendar data to any third-party artificial-intelligence or machine-learning service.
DeMain does not use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
If DeMain later introduces functionality that would use a third-party artificial-intelligence or machine-learning service to process Google Calendar data, DeMain will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by applicable law or Google policy, obtain additional authorization from the user before information is used for that materially different purpose.
Where a service provider processes information on DeMain’s behalf, such processing must be limited to providing services to DeMain and supporting the user-facing functionality for which the information is processed.
3.5 Google API Data Use
DeMain’s access to and use of information obtained through Google APIs is subject to applicable Google API Services User Data Policy requirements, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
DeMain limits its use and transfer of Google user data to purposes reasonably necessary to provide or improve appropriate user-facing functionality, maintain security, comply with applicable law, or as otherwise expressly authorized by the user and permitted under applicable Google policies.
3.6 What DeMain Does Not Do With Google User Data
DeMain does not use Google user data to:
- sell personal information to data brokers;
- provide information to information resellers;
- conduct targeted advertising;
- conduct personalized advertising;
- conduct interest-based advertising;
- conduct retargeting;
- determine creditworthiness;
- make lending decisions;
- create advertising profiles;
- conduct unauthorized surveillance;
- train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models; or
- provide unrelated third parties with Google user data for their independent commercial purposes.
4. Authentication and Authorization Information
When you connect a supported third-party service, DeMain may receive authentication or authorization information necessary to maintain that connection.
This may include:
- OAuth access tokens;
- OAuth refresh tokens;
- token expiration information;
- integration identifiers;
- account identifiers;
- authorized scopes;
- connection status;
- synchronization timestamps; and
- related technical metadata.
These credentials are used to maintain authorized integrations and are not intended to be publicly exposed.
5. Technical and Usage Information
When you use the Services, we may process limited technical information necessary for security, reliability, troubleshooting, and operation.
This may include:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- operating system;
- device type;
- timestamps;
- request and error logs;
- session information;
- diagnostic information;
- authentication events;
- integration status;
- application performance information; and
- security-related events.
We may use this information to operate, secure, diagnose, maintain, and improve the Services.
6. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- provide and operate DeMain;
- create and maintain user accounts;
- authenticate users;
- synchronize authorized integrations;
- provide requested calendar functionality;
- provide reminders, notifications, summaries, and intelligence;
- respond to user questions and support requests;
- personalize user-facing functionality according to user-selected settings and information;
- maintain security and prevent abuse;
- diagnose technical problems;
- improve reliability, usability, and performance;
- enforce applicable terms and policies;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- protect the rights, safety, and integrity of DeMain, its users, and others.
We will not materially expand our use of Google user data to an undisclosed purpose without providing any disclosure or obtaining any authorization required by applicable law or Google policy.
7. How We Disclose Information
DeMain does not sell personal information in exchange for money.
We may disclose information in the limited circumstances described below.
7.1 Service Providers
We may use service providers that support:
- hosting;
- cloud infrastructure;
- database services;
- authentication;
- security;
- application monitoring;
- communications; and
- other technical infrastructure.
These providers may process information only as reasonably necessary to provide services to DeMain and subject to applicable contractual or other safeguards.
Google user data is not provided to service providers for their independent advertising, data-broker, creditworthiness, or generalized AI-model-training purposes.
7.2 At Your Direction
We may disclose information when you expressly direct or authorize us to do so.
7.3 Legal and Safety Requirements
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- enforce agreements or policies;
- investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- protect the rights or property of DeMain;
- protect the safety of users or others; or
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
7.4 Business Transactions
If DeMain or substantially all relevant business assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Any successor receiving Google user data remains subject to applicable obligations governing that data.
8. Sale and Advertising Use
As of the Effective Date:
- DeMain does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
- DeMain does not use or disclose Google user data for targeted advertising, personalized advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, data brokerage, or similar advertising purposes.
If our practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or choices required by applicable law before the change becomes effective.
9. Data Storage
Information may be stored using cloud infrastructure and service providers supporting DeMain.
Depending on the feature, stored information may include:
- account information;
- user-created DeMain content;
- integration records;
- authorization credentials;
- calendar identifiers;
- synchronization information;
- selected calendar preferences; and
- Google Calendar-derived information reasonably necessary to provide authorized DeMain functionality.
We seek to limit storage of Google-derived information to what is reasonably necessary for authorized functionality.
10. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, destruction, or loss.
Depending on the system and information involved, safeguards may include:
- encrypted communications;
- authentication controls;
- access controls;
- restricted access to production systems;
- secure credential management;
- separation of sensitive credentials from public application code;
- database security controls;
- monitoring and logging;
- software maintenance; and
- security-incident response procedures.
No application, transmission method, network, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the Services;
- maintain your account;
- provide authorized integrations;
- fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;
- maintain security;
- resolve disputes;
- enforce agreements; and
- satisfy applicable legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the information and purpose.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to reasonable backup, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and legal-retention requirements.
12. Disconnecting Google
You may disconnect a connected Google account through DeMain’s integration settings where available.
Disconnecting Google is intended to:
- stop future Google Calendar API requests through that connection;
- disable future synchronization for that account; and
- discontinue DeMain’s active use of the relevant authorization credentials.
Disconnecting Google does not necessarily delete your entire DeMain account.
Information previously synchronized may remain temporarily where reasonably necessary for deletion processing, backups, security, legal obligations, or continued functionality expressly requested by the user.
You may separately request deletion of stored personal information.
You may also revoke DeMain’s third-party access through your Google Account controls.
13. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your DeMain account and associated personal information.
A deletion request may result in deletion or de-identification of:
- profile information;
- user-created content;
- connected-account information;
- stored authorization credentials;
- Google-derived information associated with the account; and
- other personal information associated with the Services,
subject to limited information that may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes.
Information contained in backups may remain until those backups are overwritten or expire under normal retention procedures.

We may take reasonable steps to verify that the person submitting a request is authorized to make the request.
14. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on available functionality, you may be able to:
- update account information;
- change preferences;
- select enabled calendars;
- disconnect a Google account;
- stop calendar synchronization;
- delete DeMain content;
- request access to personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of personal information; and
- close your account.
Certain functionality may cease to work if you disconnect a third-party service or delete information required to provide that functionality.
15. Applicable Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the laws applicable to DeMain, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
These may include rights to:
- access certain personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion;
- obtain a portable copy of certain information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling where applicable; and
- appeal certain privacy-request decisions where provided by law.
We will honor applicable privacy rights as required by law.

16. International Users
Privacy and data-protection laws vary by jurisdiction.
Where applicable law grants additional rights or requires a particular legal basis for processing, DeMain will process personal information consistent with those requirements.
Where legally required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers of personal information.
17. Children’s Privacy
DeMain is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in circumstances prohibited by applicable law.
If we learn that such information has been collected and must be deleted, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

18. Third-Party Services
DeMain may integrate with or link to third-party services.
Third-party services operate under their own privacy policies, terms, and security practices. This Privacy Policy does not govern a third party’s independent handling of information.
For example, when you authorize Google access, Google’s own terms and privacy practices also apply to your relationship with Google.
19. Beta Services and Product Development
Certain DeMain functionality may be made available as beta, preview, experimental, or early-access functionality.
Features may change as the product develops.
If a change materially affects how DeMain collects, accesses, uses, stores, or discloses personal information—particularly Google user data—we will update applicable disclosures and obtain additional authorization where required before using information for a materially different purpose.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in:
- the Services;
- integrations;
- technology;
- security practices;
- legal requirements; or
- data-processing practices.
When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date.
Where legally required, we may provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.

22. Google API Disclosure
DeMain’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Authorization to access Google data does not transfer ownership of that data to DeMain.
Users control whether their Google account is connected to DeMain and may revoke authorization.
